Hi Mr. Wolfe: As you know, our firm has been a client of Kaplan Leaman & Wolfe for quite some time. I want to reiterate how pleased I am with your company and your commitment to quality customer service. In the past few months, due to miscommunications which were solely my responsibility, I have had to contact KLW for eleventh-hour court reporter coverage twice (today being that second time). On both occasions, your team (Danielle & Muriel, namely), responded quickly and professionally, placing several calls to ensure that our firm had a court reporter present at depositions. For my own edification and for that of your staff, let me say that it is a pleasure to work with a company that has such a solid commitment to its clientele. All the best,
Dear Mr. Wolfe: With this letter, I would like to thank you and your firm, Kaplan, Leaman & Wolfe, for the time and attention you gave to transcribing the events in United States v. Kidada Savage, 07-550. As you know, the trial was approximately seven months in duration and involved numerous attorneys and witnesses. Your work each day was professional and timely and I am sure worked many additional hours to ensure we had daily transcripts! Again, thank you for the work you performed.
Re: United States v. Kaboni Savage, et al (CR 07-550) Dear Mr. Wolfe: I want to take a moment to thank you for the excellent transcription services provided by you and your company during the above-referenced criminal trial. As you know, this trial lasted eight months from the
commencement of jury selection through the final verdicts. Daily transcripts were required every step of the way. Beyond the length of the trial, your job was further complicated by the fact that there were a great number of witnesses who testified, many of whom had never testified before in a court of law. We greatly appreciate that, each and ever day, you delivered these transcripts promptly and accurately. We want you to know that your hard work and your professionalism did not go unnoticed.
It would be my pleasure to recommend you to any court or individual in need of stenographic services. We have now worked together in two very protracted federal death penalty cases (United States v. Phillips, 07-549 and United States v. Savage, 07-550). In each of these matters, over the course of many months, you were required to provide all counsel with daily transcripts. You performed this task exceptionally well. The notes of testimony were accurate, easy to read, and often available the same day, in the evening after the day’s proceedings. You also provided these notes, each day, in both an electronic and a hard copy. Two other aspects of your work also deserve special mention. First, the format of your transcripts is particularly helpful. In your electronic format, an index of the words appearing in the transcript sits side by side, on the same page with the transcript itself. Because the reader does not have to page to the back of the document to review the index, it becomes much easier to find a specific passage in a lengthy set of notes. Second, in the often tense atmosphere of a lengthy, high-stakes trial, you have always remained a steadying, professional, friendly presence. Thank you for your assistance in the past. It is my hope that we will work together again in the future.
Kaplan, Leaman & Wolfe has set the highest standards for court reporting and litigation services for many years. Using the latest technologies, listening to client needs and requests, separates them from the rest. It has been my privilege to work with KLW over the years. Very truly yours,
To: The Honorable J. Curtis Joyner Re: United States v. Vincent Williams et. al, Criminal #01-512 Dear Judge Joyner, We would like to take this opportunity to commend your stenographer, Gregg Wolfe, on a job extremely well done in our recent trial. Mr. Wolfe prepared daily transcripts which significantly aided all parties in their presentation of the case and did so with a professionalism and a demeanor that is to be commended. In our many years of trial experience, rarely have we worked on a case so taxing in both time and emotion. Despite the sometimes difficult and emotional testimony, he kept pace and never complained when speakers spoke too quickly. We felt privileged to work with him and hope to work with him again soon. Please pass on our appreciation to Mr. Wolfe. Thank you. Very truly yours,
To: The Honorable J. Curtis Joyner Re: Gregg B. Wolfe Dear Judge Joyner, I write to commend Gregg B. Wolfe the court reporter who
served during the recent five-month jury trial in the matter of United States v. Andre Cooper. Although the demands placed on Mr. Wolfe during the trial were substantial, the quality and timeliness of his transcriptions were extraordinary. Several times during the trial he was able to produce critical portions of the testimony within five minutes. In light of Your Honor’s scrupulous adherence to commencement of each session on a timely basis, Mr. Wolfe’s assistance was invaluable. In addition to producing a timely and accurate record, Mr. Wolfe’s courtroom demeanor and professionalism were greatly appreciated during these lengthy proceedings. In my nearly twenty years of practice I have not encountered a more prepared, efficient and able court reporter. We were indeed fortunate to have his services during this case. Respectfully yours,
